I have been wanting to get a puppy for a while now and have settled on the keeshond breed. How much should I expect to pay for a keeshond puppy from a reputable breeder? What have others paid? Thanks for the help.
I’m in the US.

Really depends on the breeder and the type of keeshond you have bought from the breeder. Generally a show breeder has dogs/pups that fall into these 3 types: Pet quality- meant to be just a pet, just as healthy and beautiful as the others but not showable due to small or larger physical flaws, Show Potential, this type of puppy has been evaluated at a young age and looks like he may be showable (sometimes they do not grow up to be showable therefore the term show ”potential” and then there is the Showable usually an older dog around 6 months and in the breeders opinion and knowledge they are a good enough example of the breed to compete in conformation. These things will usually affect the price of the dog.
What I’ve seen from reasonable breeders in my area are as follows: REMEMBER this may NOT be the case of breeders in your area. Lots of things can affect price such as demand due to popularity of the breeder, how rare the breed is in your area etc or just breeder’s own choice.
Pet quality- $ 600-1500
Show-Potential- $ 1,000- 1,600
Showable-$ 1,200-2,500
If you find yourself going whoa thats a lot!! REMEMBER show breeders are very good at what they do and you are getting the best of the best when you purchase from them and not just in looks. These dogs sire and dam have been painstakingly tested for all kinds of illnesses and problems of temperments and their breeders often spend thousands on one litter in the process of breeding, pregnancy and whelping and raising and you are getting a great deal!
Which dog would do best left alone for 5 hours a miniature pinscher of Manchester terrier. Or would they do well left in a crate.

a manchester terrier does better left alone. 5 hours is not too long for a older dog, but for a puppy that’s a little long. The crate might be a good idea until the dog is house trained.
Good luck with your new dog.
I’m getting a border collie and I want a rough coated dog. How can I tell if the puppy is going to be rough or smooth coated?
I have a friend who has a border collie that is smooth coated, so how can they only be rough coated?

when you can get them at 8 weeks old… they will either have a rough looking coat or a fine looking coat.
A friend of mine dog has cancer is about to die. It doesn’t have long to live. She was asking me what to do if the dog dies? Do you bring it to the animal shelter or a vet? And how do you take care of this? And if we want to put it to sleep who do we go to?
Thanks!

The vet can put the animal to sleep. Many vets will make a casting of the paw or a hair clipping or some other memento for you. After putting the dog down the vet will either give you back the body for burial (if your county allows it) or will make arrangements to have him cremated.
If the dog dies at home you can bury it yourself or you can call someone to pick him up for cremation. Your vet can tell you who they use for that service.
Sorry for your friend’s loss. It’s hard I know
I make dog biscuits for my family and friends pets and sell them on the side, but I have been asked about dog dental chew treats and can’t seem to find a recipe for them. I keep hearing about greenies, and nylabone, but where are the recipes for anything like them? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

They don’t have any for dental chews sorry!
My manx cat is constantly getting feces matted or stuck around or in her anus. I love her to death, but I am so tired of cleaning her rear! This doesn’t happen everyday, but anywhere from a couple times a week, to not having an episode for months. I am worried she has a colon problem. I am going to take her to the vet soon, but I just wanted to know if anybody has had this happen to them (if they own a manx cat).

Often the consistency of a cat’s feces has to do with the food they are eating. (A more solid stool will not be as messy!) Something as simple as a diet change might solve your problem.
How long have you had this cat? My cat (not a manx, but a bobtail) used to have similar issues as a kitten, but she outgrew it as she got older (within a few months).
Good luck with your messy cat!
My basenji is over 2 years old now and is calming down a lot, she still likes to get her nose into anything and chew on things shes not supposed to, she also digs outside, and ALWAYS tries to snatch some human food when we are eating (event though we never feed her table food) Shes a good dog for the most part but I want to know from people with Basenji’s or other hard breeds to train any tips, tricks, or strategies.

I’ve had quite a few cats over the years. The all black cats had issues with diarrhea, and had an odor about them that I’ve never found in calico, long hair, short hair, non-predominantly black furred cats. The all black cats were a single litter, and my recent experience is with a stray I took in.

I have a all black cat and she doesn’t have any odor problems. Now I’ve had a long haired fur ball cat and it’s feces stunk horribly. I guess it all depends what you feed them, how much you bathe them, etc.
